Nurse: “The patient complains of several aches”.
Physician: “Aaaahh . . . give him socialism. Control everything in his life. Make him fill many complicated forms and stand in line for hours for the simplest of procedures. Make him ask for permission for anything and then, when his number comes up, deny him the permit. Make his life a bureaucratic hell. Drown him on it. That’s good for him.”.
. . .
Nurse: “The patient is worse and complains of inflation and difficulties to produce”.
Physician: “Aaaahh . . . give him more socialism . . . more controls . . . put more bureaucrats in charge of every aspect of his life . . . make him ask for permits then deny them . . . make him fill a thousand forms and stand in lines for hours to request more forms that will be thrown away, unread . . . make his life a waste of ink”.
. . .
Nurse: “The patient is worse and complains of industries closing, jobs being transferred overseas, unemployment and shortages and long lines to get nothing”.
Physician: “Mmmh . . . the case clearly calls for more socialism . . . more controls . . . more political commissars . . . there’s not enough control over his life”.
. . .
Nurse: “The patient is worse and can’t even feed himself nor his family”.
Physician: “Oh . . . well . . . in that case it is obvious we should increase his dose of socialism”.
. . .
Nurse: “The patient can’t breathe due to all the socialism that’s stifling even the most minimum manifestation of his life, everything is controlled, he can’t even move”.
Physician: “Well . . . if that’s the case, we can clearly see that he’s not getting enough socialism. Give him more.”.
. . .
Nurse: “The patient is working more hours than most in other countries and still he has to stand for hours in lines to buy a mere pittance that’s not enough to survive. There’s nothing to buy! The patient is critical!”.
Physician: “Not enough socialism! It is not enough! Give him more! Give him mooore!!”.
. . .
Nurse: “The patient has died”.
Physician: “Died . . . ? Really . . . ? Died . . . ? . . . mmmh . . . it is our fault for not having given him enough socialism. Next time we’ll give the patient massive doses of socialism, MASIVE!! We will augment the dose until he sees it’s good for him!!”.
Nurse: “But, Dr. . . . we have already failed to cure ANY patients with socialism . . . they all die . . . !”.
Physician: “It doesn’t matter! . . . it doesn’t matter, at all!! I’m the Dr.! You are nobody! The patient is nobody! Nobody is nobody! I’m the Dr.!! Nothing matters but socialism!!! Socialism is good for them! . . . They’ll see! . . .We’ll continue to treat EVERYBODY with MASIVE doses of socialism no matter what happens, no matter who says what, no matter all the misinterpreted evidence to the contrary. We’ll make them choke on socialism until they see it’s good for them! Socialism by the bucketful for everybody, even you!! Nothing but socialism!!! We will breathe and eat and think socialism forever!!!!!!!!”

Having lived under several different political systems, Dictatorship in Spain, Socialism a la Francaise, and of course fend for yourself Capitalism of the U.S.A., I don't think any of them work completely, but they all have their good and bad points. A mix is the only way to go. Nationalized medicine, yes, nationalized police, no, etc..

I agree Roadfish. I am looking forward and hoping that socialized medicine does become a reality for those that work and pay taxes, that still struggle to afford healthcare.

its a crime in the USA for our citizens to NOT be able to see a doctor when they become ill. There is simply NO excuse for this IMO.

Also, it is shocking to see that a President like Obama, who has one of the best approval ratings of ANY president ALREADY, still receives hate from a small sect of people within this nation. I see this online on forums... this really is about the only place I see it.

NOT to learn from experience is quite an ability. EVERYTHING government administered has ALWAYS been a waste of resources, a disaster and brought suffering to the people both in the USA and abroad.

But socialists are like children, only their fantasies matter to them. Reality is something others have to deal with.

Canadians with their socialized medicine travel to the USA for treatment. But will a communist derive some learning from that? Fat chance!!
