Economists Against Stimulus Empty

Quote :
"There is no disagreement that we need action by our government,
a recovery plan that will help to jumpstart the economy."

— PRESIDENT-ELECT BARACK OBAMA, JANUARY 9, 2009

With all due respect Mr. President, that is not true.

Notwithstanding reports that all economists are now Keynesians and that we all support a big increase in the burden of government, we do not believe that more government spending is a way to improve economic performance. More government spending by Hoover and Roosevelt did not pull the United States economy out of the Great Depression in the 1930s. More government spending did not solve Japan's "lost decade" in the 1990s. As such, it is a triumph of hope over experience to believe that more government spending will help the U.S. today. To improve the economy, policy makers should focus on reforms that remove impediments to work, saving, investment and production. Lower tax rates and a reduction in the burden of government are the best ways of using fiscal policy to boost growth.

No disagreement, uh?

If the government doesnt act in some way and deter the private sector from continuing down the road of unfettered, deregulated capitalism, this nation is in deep shit. The problems lie in the past 8 years! With virtually unrestrained free reign by capitalists to do whatever they can to make a buck... Bad loans? Who cares, we can always hand them off to the next bank... THAT kind of shit is what has started all this... And now you are bashing President Obama for trying to bring forth initiatives that will jump-start the economy? I understand you are not an American Jorge, but please, spare me.

Actually I'm bashing hussein for being a communist out to destroy America before Americans can do something about it.

He did get a patient with food poisoning and what does he recommend? More poison!

The prognosis's not good.

Patient better make his peace with the world. He's not long for it.

I don't argue that hussein inherited several problems. But problems require solutions. He just jumped on the communist crazy power trip and ruined America and the rest of the world not only for all of us but for many future generations as well.

And on the subject of bad loans. It was the communists that forced the banks to hand out bad loans to undeserving paupers under the threat of picketing their offices and calling them "racists" and "insensitive" and all that crap.

Read about Saul Alinsky. Read about the Cloward Piven strategy to destroy Capitalism. We are living a textbook example of communist takeover. This was an economic and political coup de etat.

And what does the fact that I'm not American's got to do with it?
