| Ok, I'll be the one to get this going. Throughout the year, post your best albums of the year, and keep the list updated. Now remember, best albums of the YEAR... Not best albums of the week or day or whatever. This stuff has to be AMAZING.
So far, for me...
Audrye Sessions - s/t Green River Ordinance - Out Of My Hands Nural - Entitlement Red - Innocence & Instinct The Fray - s/t

| You are a fucking genius man. GREAT thread. I will agree, thus far, that RED and Green River Ordinance have the 2 best cds out. Nural was good too. Those are the top 3 at this point. We will keep this thread updated.... Good call man, good call. | |

to my list. What you told me about Marianas Trench's lead singer being a heroin addict is unreal!!! I dont like the record NEARLY as much as American Radio and Green River Ordinance... NOT even on the same page!

| Yeah, there are a few interviews out there where he really goes into depth about it, but the guy was addicted to heroin by age 16, into rehab by 17, and a recovering addict by 18. He talks about how his lyrics always will have the undertone of the torture that he's been through with addiction, but yet their songs attempt to still convey a positive vibe. Great lyricist, and their new album is quite good. I'd give it one more listen if I were you... | |

| Marianas Trench record is the best one I've heard this year. Nural, Audrye Sessions (best album of '07), & GRO also great great records. | |

| I guess Audrye Sessions probably shouldn't count, since it's a re-release. I still like it and it deserves recognition though. | |

| Ok, I will take a stand. Marianas Trench is better than American Radio.
1) Marianas Trench 2) Green River Ordinance 3) American Radio
Sorry guys.
It's not the best record ever.

| Whatevs. It's a brilliant album. I just... get it... American Radio was cool the first couple listens, but it gets SO old quickly. And some of Brodie's lyrics are just plain lame. | |

"the autumn leave are falling, like tears from her eyes..." thats INSANE.
